Dear Mariners:

First my thanks to those of you who have joined the National Mariners Association recently .  From your support NMA has been able to bring positive change to the licensing process at the National Maritime Center.  NMA also thanks Local 333 and its members for their support.  The National Mariners Association is not a union.  We are a mariners advocacy group who represent all mariners in Washington DC regardless of their political views or affiliation.  Our members cover a full spectrum of the industry from managers and supervisors to the ordinary seamen.  Our mission is safety, health and social security for all mariners.  NMA recognizes that those ideals rely on a financially healthy industry.  As you may know AWO maintains three full time lobbyist in Washington DC.  Our politicians do not read letters and reports.  They conduct their business over lunch in DC.  If mariners expect representation they will need a lobbyist who understands our industry and represents your best interest.  To review our latest TSAC report follow the like below or visit www.nationalmariners.org

Go to www.unitedmariner.com scroll down to " TSAC Spring Meeting Report Double Click Here "  If you are not a member I hope you will consider joining.  Help us place a lobbyist for you in DC and keep the Hawsepipe open.

Thanks

TSAC Member, Joe Dady
